Devotional Touch: An Introduction to Erotic Massage

7-9pm March 4th, 2013 in the Annex, Center for Sex Positive Culture
1608 15th Ave. W, Seattle, WA 98119
Presented by Foundation for Sex Positive Culture in conjunction with the CSPC
$20 in advance, $25 at the door

Ever wanted to express to someone just how gorgeous, loved, worthy or desirable they are? Worship their body with every caress? Or maybe you want to be the one receiving this deliciously sensual treat!

Erotic massage can be a fantastic way to connect deeply with a partner and/or your own erotic embodiment. It can be nourishing and sweet, exploring and curious, or sizzling hot… and we can show you how! In this workshop we will introduce some of the basics, including:

  • what you’ll need before, during and after
  • how to communicate intention through your touch
  • how to use different strokes, toys and breathing techniques to turn up the heat, and how to cool it down too

We will also touch on some common pitfalls, and tips on how to avoid them.

This workshop will include some lecture and some live demonstrations of erotic massage. Knowing how Julie loves experiential learning, there may be an optional (clothed, non-sexual) exercise or two for you to try in class! Individuals, couples and moresomes of all genders and orientations are welcome to attend.

Explore! Sensuality

8pm to midnight on January 12, 2013 in the Annex, Center for Sex Positive Culture
1608 15th Ave. W, Seattle, WA 98119
Presented by Foundation for Sex Positive Culture in conjunction with the CSPC
$50 per person, $40 per person for CSPC members

This upcoming “experience” is a combination workshop and event – the workshop starts at 8pm, followed by an event of the same theme. The workshop will be a condensed version of my “Becoming Sensual” class.

We are sensual human animals, but many of us live in a culture that turns us into talking heads. Open up your sensual potential and get reconnected to your whole body through breath, awareness and conscious touch.

Learn how to:

  • get present in your body
  • experience immense amounts of pleasure
  • give and receive touch that will blow your mind

This experiential workshop is for anyone who wants to deepen their experience of sexuality, sensuality or simply being a body on the planet. Individuals, couples and moresomes of all persuasions are welcome to attend. Please come prepared for the choice to be in sensual physical contact with your own body or other people’s bodies. Then stick around afterwards to enjoy and explore more sensual play! We will remain fully dressed during the workshop, and for the party afterwards we’ll be keeping our underwear on to maintain a focus on whole body sensuality, touch, and making out.

Click here for the official event listing on the FSPC website.

Each month the Foundation for Sex Positive Culture will present a workshop immediately followed by an experiential party focused on the topic of that workshop. The featured presenter (or presenters) will be on hand for the rest of the evening to continue the conversations, be available for coaching as you try something new or feedback on the skills you learned in class as you implement them. There will also be plenty of time for socializing with other attendees to share ideas and knowledge.

This is a FSPC event put on in conjunction with the CSPC. Cost is $50 for the whole evening. After the formal workshop is over, entry cost is $35. All CSPC Members receive a $10 discount. No other discounts or promotions are applicable.

The Healing Power of Pleasure

November 10, 2012 at 3:30pm
Sponsored by the Sacred Sexuality Discussion Group at the CSPC
Requested $5 donation (to help cover the cost of the space)

Modern culture promotes lives of stress, anxiety, isolation and fatigue. We try to work our way up the corporate ladder, buy expensive toys, get people to like us. You know the list. Sometimes we feel like we can’t do those things. Some of us don’t even want to. Often we end up feeling alone, frustrated, angry, and depressed.

What if there were another way? Our bodies are our teachers. We can help each other.

Authentic pleasure can heal – emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. It can calm our minds, help us feel valuable and connected, and open us to Spirit. It can decrease our cortisol levels, heart rate and blood pressure, even strengthening our digestion and immune system. We make better decisions and think more creatively. We become powerful and alive.

In this workshop, we will open to the healing power of pleasure by quieting down and listening to our bodies. We will practice asking for what we need. We will practice setting boundaries and being authentic, learning to trust ourselves and, in turn, learning to trust each other. And, perhaps most importantly, we will practice deeply receiving what we ask for, noticing what happens when we get what we need from someone freely and happily giving it to us.

All are welcome, regardless of sexual or spiritual orientation. Practicing erotic and spiritual empowerment, you will be invited to do what feels comfortable and find your own way in to the exercises and discussion.

Click here for CSPC address and event info. The meeting will be held in the RAW space this month, which means we may be surrounded by kinky furniture.

Right to the Heart: Intensity, Intimacy and Arousal in BDSM

September 13, 2012 at 7pm at the CSPC

If you missed this popular workshop at Paradise Unbound, here’s a chance to experience what all the fuss is about!

Many of us do BDSM because we find it HOT. It connects us, moves us, splits us open… and yet, over time we may find ourselves covering up or even avoiding the intensity, intimacy and arousal that arises in our play. Join Julie Hekate in exploring why we simultaneously fear and desire these things, as well as how we can more easily and consistently access them to create hotter scenes and better connections with our lovers and play partners.

This workshop will include some lecture and some partnered exercises, so come prepared to engage the material at whatever level you feel comfortable. Individuals, couples and moresomes of all persuasions are welcome to attend.

For more details and the address visit the event on the CSPC website.

Touching the Divine

August 9, 2012 at 1pm at Paradise Unbound

Though sex is often reviled as “dirty” in North America, many of us have experienced “touching God” at one time or another during a sexual encounter. Learn how you can easily set the stage for sacred sexual experiences through intention, presence, intuition and sensuality. This workshop will include solo and partnered exercises, so come prepared to engage the material at whatever level you feel comfortable. We will remain fully clothed for the workshop and will not be engaging others beyond a “sensual” level in the group. Individuals, couples and moresomes of all persuasions are welcome to attend.
